In a thunderous revelation set to captivate automotive enthusiasts, Bonhams|Cars is gearing up to showcase the world’s fastest road-going car, the 2022 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, at the highly anticipated Scottsdale Auction. Following Bugatti’s awe-inspiring achievement of shattering the 300mph (483 km/h) barrier, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ emerged in a scarce production of merely 30 cars, solidifying its status as a groundbreaking hypercar.
The automotive marvel, the first of its kind, has become one of the most coveted hypercars globally, with only eight units making their way to the United States in 2022. This upcoming Scottsdale Auction marks a historic occasion as it presents the first opportunity for American enthusiasts to publicly acquire the Super Sport 300+ since its production.

Scheduled for January 25, The Scottsdale Auction promises an adrenaline-charged atmosphere as bidders vie for the legendary Chiron Super Sport 300+, estimated to command an impressive price tag ranging from $5,000,000 to $5,500,000.
In 2019, Bugatti seized the world’s attention with a historic moment when former Le Mans-winner Andy Wallace piloted the prototype to an unprecedented 304.777 mph. The limited production run in 2022 retained the car’s exceptional performance, staying true to Bugatti’s legacy while boasting a sleek aero-efficient body adorned with the brand’s signature styling and a striking black and orange color scheme.

Louis Frankel, Bonhams|Cars Specialist, expressed his excitement, stating, “This is the quintessence of hypercars. Bugatti has an unparalleled reputation in high-performance vehicles, and the Chiron Super Sport 300+ is a symbol of that automotive excellence. We look forward to witnessing the surge of excitement and attention this will undoubtedly achieve when we showcase it at our Scottsdale Auction.”

Offered as number 9 in the sequence, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ is a February 2023 supply through Manhattan Motorcars, featuring minimal mileage predominantly from Bugatti factory testing. This unique opportunity allows a fortunate collector to become a part of automotive history by acquiring this exceptional specimen.

Bonhams|Cars, renowned for presenting some of the finest Bugattis at auction, has curated an exceptional lineup for The Scottsdale Auction. Alongside the Chiron Super Sport 300+, the 1936 Type 57 Atalante Sunroof Coupe, an equivalent Bugatti ancestor from the 1930s, will also grace the event with an estimated value ranging from $1,500,000 to $1,800,000. The auction promises a spectacle of automotive excellence, spanning decades of Bugatti’s storied legacy.
