ARCOmadrid puts the Caribbean in the spotlight
From 6 to 10 March 2024, ARCOmadrid presents its 43rd edition, with the Caribbean as the protagonist.

The fair’s central project on this edition will focus on exploring galleries and artists with ties to the Caribbean in an expanded view, not limited exclusively to the physical territory. In this spirit, the section, which will keep the fair’s connection to Latin America active, will see the participation of around twenty galleries selected by Sara Hermann and Carla Acevedo-Yates.
With a leading focus on research and discovery, the 43rd edition of ARCOmadrid will maintain the sections of previous years. The artistic content of of the General Programme will be made up of galleries selected by the Organising Committee comprising José Aloy -Polígrafa Obra Gràfica-, Elba Benítez -Elba Benítez-, Eduardo Brandão –Vermelho-, Vera Cortês -Vera Cortês-, Henrique Faria -Henrique Faria-, Pedro Maisterra -Maisterravalbuena-, Alex Mor -Mor Charpentier-, Iñigo Navarro -Leandro Navarro-, Sten Nordenhake -Nordenhake-, Silvia Ortiz -Travesía Cuatro- and Rosa Santos -Rosa Santos.
Added to this are the curated sections: Opening will once again stand out for its promotion of the young international gallery scene, bringing together a selection of galleries by Yina Jiménez Suriel and Cristina Anglada. And Never the Same. Latin American Art, curated by Manuela Moscoso and José Esparza Chong Cuy, will continue to investigate the diversity of artistic forms, practices and sensitivities from Latin America. On the other hand, ArtsLibris, in its drive to incentivise collecting, will once again be positioned as a go-to place for the world of artist publications, self-publications, the photo book and contemporary thinking.
The money will go towards the institution’s endowment and operational expenses
The artists’ forthcoming façade and rooftop installations at the museum will explore the intersections of identity and art history
